Rye House Kart Raceway is a tight, technical, and fast circuit with 11 corners, combining sharp braking zones, flowing sections, and a long back straight that rewards good exits. Precision, smoothness, and racecraft are key to mastering this well-known track.

The lap begins with Turn 1 ( Stadium Bend ), a fast right-hander where a smooth line is vital to carry speed into Turn 2 ( Hairpin 1 ), a tight left-hand hairpin and one of the best overtaking opportunities on the circuit. Exiting cleanly here is crucial for acceleration into Turn 3 ( Hairpin 2 ), another tight right-hander where balance and throttle control matter more than outright aggression.

A short straight leads into Turn 4 ( The Esses ), a quick left-right chicane that tests rhythm and kart stability. This is followed by Turn 5 ( Pylon Corner ), a long right-hander that rewards patience and a late apex to maximize speed onto the back straight — the fastest part of the track.

At the end of the straight, Turn 6 ( Hairpin 3 ) demands heavy braking and a tight line; this is another prime overtaking point if approached cleanly. The circuit then flows into Turn 7 ( Devil’s Elbow ), a tricky left kink that must be taken with precision to avoid losing time.

The lap concludes with Turn 8 ( The Final Complex ), a right-left sequence that demands smooth steering and a tidy exit back onto the start-finish straight.

The circuit is accessed via a short lane leading directly into the paddock and facilities. The surrounding area is flat and open, bordered by light industrial units and greenery, meaning wind can occasionally influence braking zones and top speed. With its mix of technical corners and high-speed sections, Rye House remains one of the UK’s most iconic and rewarding kart circuits.

Roughly 190 miles (3 hours, 30 mins) from Tarporley.
