Camberley
Surrey
Hidden away behind Blackbushe National Car Auctions, this circuit is surrounded by trees and runs like a scalextric track - really fast laps, and a cosy paddock.
Camberley Kart Circuit is a short, technical, and challenging track with 8 corners, requiring precise braking, tight lines, and smooth throttle control. Its compact layout makes overtaking tricky, rewarding consistency and racecraft.
The lap begins with Turn 1 (Fast Right), which requires a strong entry to carry speed into Turn 2 (Tight Left Hairpin), a key overtaking zone where late braking can be effective. A short straight leads into Turn 3 (Right-Hander), where kart positioning is crucial to set up for the next section.
Turn 4 (The Left Flick) is a sharp corner requiring quick reactions, immediately followed by Turn 5 (Sweeping Right), where maintaining momentum is key. The back section features Turn 6 (Hairpin Left), a heavy braking zone and another prime overtaking opportunity.
The lap concludes with Turn 7 (Fast Right) and Turn 8 (Final Left Hairpin), both demanding precision and good throttle control to get the best drive onto the start-finish straight.
The circuit is accessed via a small entrance off the main road, leading to a compact paddock area. The surrounding terrain is slightly undulating with tree cover, providing some wind protection but also creating variable track conditions, particularly in wet weather. Camberley’s tight layout and elevation changes make it a great track for developing kart control and defensive racing skills.
Entrance can be tricky to find - Turn off the main road and follow the road all the way around the back of the car auction passing lots of parked car transporters. Eventually at the end you turn left down an access road then Left again into the circuit. Very small pit area - if your kart is in the club trailer, park at the top and walk down to the pit area with your gear to save space.
- Confusing to find first time, you have to go right through/past the car auctions
- Toilets are not very good - very basic portakabin with limited water supply
- No café, but there is normally a burger van (only takes cash)
